thks is there a way to restore to factory settings like when it came brand new?? I can only find how to restore to an eairyer time which is ok but id rather to restore to factory settings

@MrTrapper1017 You need a restore disk from the manufacturer for that, many do provide it. BUT - you lose all data and installed programs if you do that.

@MrTrapper1017 If they didn't provide you with it when you bought it, they may not have one for that PC. If they have it now, it won't be free. The alternative is to manually install from scratch with your original Windows CD or, if your hardware is good for it, upgrade to Windows 7.

i have a question if i installed windows 7 on xp and it crashes could i go back to xp???

@TheJack1033 There is no "upgrade" from XP to Win7, just from Vista to Win7. If you have XP you must do a clean install.
