This is the D-STAR Friday afternoon forum from the 2010 Dayton Hamvention®. The whole thing, not a preview! It runs almost an hour and a half, and features:
- Robin Cutshaw AA4RC, reviewing details of the D-STAR protocol, DPLUS, the DVDongle and the new DVAP.
- Dan Smith KK7DS, taking about his program D-RATS, that uses the low-speed data capablities of VHF/UHF D-STAR (and can now be used with packet radio, too).
- David Lake G4ULF, with details on the non-ICOM D-STAR repeaters he pioneered using the "Satoshi" D-STAR interface board.
Any place I can download this? At 83 mins I would rather watch at my pace and not have to reload everytime.
Thanks, KE5EUA

@crazym409 There are several free programs that let you download, convert and save YouTube and other on-line videos. Google something like "download YouTube video" and you'll see them. I may put it on a DVD with the 2011 forum - not sure yet. -KN4AQ

Is this a repost... or did it take a year to edit?

@mstax It took a year to get around to editing. I shot a lot of stuff in 2010, and more in 2011. I've got it all loaded in the editing system, and this is the first program out of the box. The past year has been very busy for me, and I was always putting other stuff ahead of editing ARVN video. I'm trying to get ARVN stuff out faster. Other stuff is taking a back seat.
