F/A-18F Super Hornet
VFA-11 "Red Rippers"
2008 NAS Oceana Airshow
NAS Oceana, Virginia
Friday September 19, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as this Super Hornet takes off earlier in the night, followed by several flybys in afterburner over NAS Oceana once it got real dark. I apologize for the poor video quality, as I was trying my best to get the best video under VERY WINDY conditions, which persisted through Saturday night.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
Kind of makes you miss the burners on the tomcat when you see this ... still a good vid. The us navy should still fly the tomcat in demos...They are doing the heritage flights with the F4's and also P51's. I now people would rather watch a Tomcat do a knife edge pass instead of a flyby by an F4...
