Intro:
Thanks for visiting the Toronto Dance Salsa website. We are really excited that you are considering joining the TDS family to begin or develop your dance journey. My name is Sharon and I am the President of TDS and I created this video to introduce you to our school and community as well as answer some o f the most frequently asked questions.

Overview:
Toronto Dance Salsa is Canada's largest salsa dance school and our specialty is turning absolute two-left footed beginners into seasoned dancers. We have been around for many years and have continued to evolve and better ourselves as a company that cares about its students, makes you feel super comfortable in a learning environment, gets you out exercising and getting fit and, best of all, gets you meeting so many new friends.

Classes - location:
We offer classes at across the GTA which are TTC accessible and offer neighborhood paid or free parking. Our main studio is Empress Walk Studio at Yonge north of Sheppard, located right on top of the NY Civic Centre Subway with free parking.

Classes - Types:
We offer tons of different classes. Our famous Salsa Nightclub level 1 to level 6 classes are really popular. But don't forget we also offer specialty salsa classes such as Ladies and Mens' Styling, Body Movement, Shines, Casino classes, leading and following, partnerwork, musicalty and rhythm and much much more. We also offer classes in other dance genres such as Argentine Tango, Belly Dance, Zumba, Reggaeton, Cabaret and much more.

Partner?
You may be wondering if you need a partner to join our classes. Absolutely not! Salsa is great for couple or friends wanting to dance together but salsa is also great for those without a partner looking to get fit and meet new friends. For each of our partnered dance classes you always have a choice as to whether to partner up with someone that you bring to class or someone that you have met in class or you can rotate which means changing partners every few minutes and getting to know the rest of the rotating students in your class.

Cost?
Our classes are usually 9 classes in length which means 1 hour classes per week over 9 weeks. We also have condensed 6 week packages where you attend classes that are 1.5 hours in length over 6 weeks and we have condensed 4 week packages where you attend 2 hour classes over 4 weeks. The cost of our classes is $117 plus HST for a nine hour package. For a schedule of our classes please click on the Classes link above. Our registration is online and there are a variety of payment options available.

Events:
What I love about my school is that you are joining a family and you instantly get a social life! Every week we have a Sunday practice session at Empress called a social where over 100 students come to practice their dance moves every week. Come alone or come with someone -- you are always welcome and it is a really comfortable fun environment to get you practicing your moves and meeting really nice people. We also have bi-weekly outings to local salsa clubs in Toronto. Our outings are usually held on Saturday nights and include beginner and intermediate lessons. We have at least 200 students and friends attending our outings so you get to really have fun and be introduced to a huge network of dancers and TDS friends.
