i have a 99 nissan altima se limited and i was wondering how do i fix blow by? and my car is also a little slow on take off so i was wondering if there were some things i could check or fix to help the slugishness of the car.

@cheaterboy16 Try using BG fuel system products.Adding BG to the crankcase oil will help de-carbon the internal of the engine.when you change the oil add a bottle of BG oil stabilizer.replace the fuel filter,with a full tank of fuel add a bottle of Lucas or BG fuel injector cleaner.inspect the engine mounts.clean and replace the PCV and box,which is bolted to the rear (under the intake manifold) of the engine block. rebuilding is not worth it.follow the instruction on products

i have 2002 altima, i wanted replace a headgasket, will be my first time..what are your advices? also, what do you think of the problem is ..my altima is burning oil. what needed to fix or replace?

@tsiskkkoj Find someone who is experience in head gasket repair.This engine feature a aluminum cylinder head. careful cleaning the head gasket,make sure the head and block is straight. You will need a complete upper gasket kit from fel-pro,change engine oil and anti-freeze.

i have a 95 altima with 85k miles i just test the blow by it have some oil not as much as the one on the video is it even nnormal just to have some blowing out or it not suspose to blow anything out ?

No hard feeling. 4 cyl engine are econo-box not performing art(performance).If you are looking for performance look at cars with V6 engine are not likely to see blow-up like 4 cyl, cause V6 feature larger piston ring with more cylinder for even distribution of power making the engine last longer that OVER-HARD Working 4 cyl engine.

@cmariscal69 Most Hard Parts can be re-use,except for friction parts.Rebuilding an engine is surely rely on care-full inspection.The cylinder walls must be hone with the correct stone so the piston ring will seat itself seal to the wall.Most four stroke engine smaller than a 2.2 will experience blow-by due to a small circle of the piston rings.The small ring is not strong enough or can`t maintain its tension along the cyl wall during operation. So with time the blow-by will return on a rebuild.

Hi steve. I have a 94 nissan sentra 1.6 liter, 103,000 miles.

I checked to see if it has a blow by and it does. It's exactly like you show in this video.

When i have the engine rebuilt should i replace all the pistons and valve's or just the bad ones?
