Actually I think Colbert is funnier than Jon Stewart. Trying to be supercilious and condescending by calling him "poor Colbert" is rather pathetic, especially since he owns O'Reilly from the moment the interview starts. I don't think children watch either of them but people with the IQ of small children watch Fox News.

It seems silly that O'Reilly would point out that Colbert switched to Colber(t). The Colber(t) thing is just to be funny. Also, O'Reilly should really consider that Colbert mocks various parts of society. O'Reilly, having a show of his own and having himself and his opinions broadcast, is bound to be imitated / emulated / mocked at some point, and in this case it just happened with someone who was willing to talk on the show with him. @roflzorz

I'll be damned if Colbert needs Oreilly in order to "stay on the air" as you suggest. If Oreilly withered away and died tommorow Colbert will still be on the air.

His act isnt simply based on Bill its based on every single obsessive/compulsive, naive and thick headed Republican out there.

Colbert owes Oreilly NOTHING. Limbaugh and many others can just as easily be the inspiration of Colbert. Theres 10s of 1000s of them out there currently walking amongst us.

Colbert needs NO Bill O

Thank you O'Reilly for giving the world plenty to laugh at, and thank you Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert for delivering the laughs to us. Lets not forget, if the news programs delivered facts and not opinions, there would be nothing to joke about.
