Kristen Buchanan, Colorado State University, discusses nanomagnetism and its application to hard drives as part of NanoDays in Baton Rouge, La. on March 27, 2010. This was a day of fun, family friendly activities to introduce children of all ages to "nanoscience," or tiny properties and small-scale systems. NanoDays was sponsored by LSU and held at Highland Road Park Observatory (BREC).
