Welcome folks to Let's Play Ring of Red for the Playstation 2 by Konami 2001. IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS GAME IS FICTIONAL AND USES REFERENCES FROM THE CONCLUSION OF WWII. IT'S ALL MADE UP. This is a strategy RPG with MECHS IN 1964? Never knew we had giant fighting robots in 1964 ah well.

Prologue: 1946. Following Japan's rejection of the Potsdam declaration and call for resistance to the bitter end. The Greater Asian War came to its conclusion when the Soviet Union entered the fight. With the war's end the jurisdiction of the Japanese islands was didvided among the occupying Allied Forces, resulting in tension between the east and west power blocks and ultimately tragedy and suffering. 1950. Economic Disparities and bottlenecks with the post war reparations increased political tensions and promted pleas for reunification of Japan's divided lands. Without any clear beginning the Japanese archipelago erupted into the Japn War. Four Years of fierce conflict that onces again decimated Japanese lands. The Japan War cease fire was manipulated by international alliances of Communist ideaologies and was signed without even setting the issues of reparation lingering from the previous war's close. Japanese on both sides of the north south border had sought reunification but their furtile calls went unanswered. The didvided nation remained unchanged. 10 years have passed. It is 1964...

(and if you read that congratz you just read something that is fictional)

  • WHEN YOU USE A PSX 2 emulator with new Graphik Plugins is Brandnew Graphik style with Effekts iz3d driver for free download, all games in 3d!

  • As for the graphics, I remember clearly that this game was released just six months after the release of the PS2, by the looks of how blocky the characters are and the blurriness of the textures, that this game was going to be a late generation PS1 game that was turned over to the PS2 on the 11th hour. Regardless, the animation and gameplay really sold the concept, outdated graphics or not.

  • nightmare boost lol your comments XD ahhhh

  • I played this game a LONG while back...back when I first got my 1st PS2, which was the fat one. Looking back, I really miss the game, granted it took me a year to beat. It should be noted that I wasn't used to Strategy/RPG games at the time.

All in all, it was a really good game. I'm just not a fan of war based games, though, but this one I'll stand by.

  • I never seen this game before. It looks good but does it play well?
