@jakertime When I was young, almost all house basements were dug this way, starting with a ramp that had to be backfilled later, after the foundation was finished. One step down was a straight bulldozer, that had to back blade to dig out the corners of the basement. One step up was a cable hoe, like that 15B.
Everyone should go look up OVC's videos, they have saved some really neat old stuff.

@TrainBubba We went by their tiny old plant in the valley in Brookville several years ago, abandoned, no forwarding sign, multigage ramp to loading dock still there, so we assumed they were out of business. Turns out the old shop had been flooded out, so they moved to a gorgeous big plant uphill east of town. with rail access, so they could also get into full size locomotive work. Recently they did a bunch of trolley car rebuilds.
