@TheTankwatcher I will help prevent algae blooms and bacteria blooms. It also kills free floating parasites. Watch flow rate vs. wattage. You will still need to watch feeding and keep excess nutrients down.

Yep, does a nice job. I would suggest only running part time on a new setup to allow good bacteria to grow, also install on a return pump with a pre-filter so living bacteria has time to accumulate in the wet/dry and refuge.
