The Ultimate Doom: Knee-Deep in the Dead on Ultra-Violence difficulty, part 1

In this video, I play the Knee-Deep in the Dead episode of The Ultimate Doom (Doom 1 + Thy Flesh Consumed) on the hardest practical difficulty. I have beaten every episode (including the insane TFC) on Nightmare! difficulty. Why it isn't on YT? I didn't have Fraps running and I don't want to spend the insane amount of time again needed to beat an episode without dying. This difficulty probably makes Doom 1, Doom 2, and Final Doom the HARDEST video games ever created, especially Final Doom.

This video showcases the first of seven videos in which I kill zombies and demons in the Knee-Deep in the Dead episode. Watch as I use shotgun, chaingun, and other weapons to destroy the Hellspawn and kick ass. Enjoy :)

Doom on UV is a piece of cake. This was my 2nd playthrough of Ep 1 and was originally recorded in 2008. And well, you gotta beat the stuff to compare them. I wouldn't suggest it though unless you have tons of free time and don't sleep much. Also, side-scrollers take far different actions and skills than FPS. The main challenge with CM and IWBTG is simple puzzles and traps. The traps in particular. Compare that to the 10,000 issues with Nightmare on an FPS and theres nothing alike.

@GoldenZealot21 I'm not denying that Nightmare! difficulty is hard, cause it is, I'm saying that I Wanna Be The Guy, and Contra (which is easier than IWBTG, IMO) creates more of a challenge, but only slightly. Nightmare is still very hard regardless.

Well, apparently you've beaten IWBTG and Contra quite handily, but have had not the least of progress on Doom. That says enough to me.

Well, games like Cat Mario and I Wanna Be The Guy are still harder than Doom on Nightmare! All it takes is practice.

Not only that, but the slightest split second off will kill you. Watch the professional world record speed runs. If you think that is easy, try it yourself. Cat Mario is a hilarious joke in comparison. The only tough parts are some simple puzzles. IWBTG I've heard isn't that hard.

You want a hard side-scroller? Play Contra. 10x harder than CM, and I'd be willing to bet IWBTG as well.

Well, are you telling me that you've beaten Doom on Nightmare! without dying each episode?

You're also telling me that Cat Mario, with its huge number of 6 levels, where you can die an infinite amount of times and once you've memorized where enemies and traps are after about 10 tries tops, you get through it pretty easily?

Sorry man, but Doom on Nightmare! doesn't work that way. Try it for yourself. Also, it isn't just "practice". It is frustrating labor and tons of luck.

You gotta try it out on UV :P. It's good fun. Don't waste your time on Nightmare! I forgot how many hours I wasted making a complete speedrun through each ep. :/
