This electro-mechanical siren from 1954 was purchased new and mounted on an Ambulance according to the folks at B&M Siren in California. My old siren has a new shiny stainless cowl and a new brake plunger. This siren is still available new from B&M Sirens in California. More affordable than a Q siren and draws only 70 amps. Louder than a Q2b at 100 feet. Enjoy!

  • Very nice I have one like it but its missing the foreskin ,and the motor cover. I set it off every new years eve

  • @chuckbear1961 ..The foreskin?? Anyways, contact B&M sirens in California if you want replacement stainless. Their contcat info is at their website! Enjoy!!

  • @911caddy p.s. My front cowl is new as you can see. Previously it was badly dented.

  • that's vintage.....

  • @josephsaliba79 , Yes and No. This siren is still available brand new from B&M sirens in California!

Fire Departments acorss North America still use them! Much less amp draw than the Federal Q2b and louder at 100 feet! Check their website :)

  • Is that a ram scoop on the front?

  • @douro20 . It's more about projecting the sound coming from the siren, forward. Unlike the Q2b made by federal signal.. No sound focusing/projecting ability.

  • nice sound!

  • Hook it up to a jet engine and dogs everywhere will stick their paws in their ears with agony

  • @iLoveEatingPie would mount one on my '90 Pajero, in the middle of the FedSig Visibar

drive slowly past a church, then as the Visibar gets within the visibility range of the wedding guests turn the lights on and hit the siren. Then to scare the shit out of them, pull up, hit the siren brake, leave the engine running to keep the lights going and march into the church to arrest someone random.

  • I want one of those things! So many uses for it!

  • Damn, would like one of those to scare the shit out of my neighbors.

  • @911caddy Thanks for the info.
