How To Easily Level Magic Skills On Oblivion

First off I know that destruction magic isn't in here but I'll have a video up soon that will show you how to level destruction magic, blade, blunt, hand, possibly sneak and marksman. Ok, I decided to make a short-ish video on how to easily level and master any magic skill on The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. 1. First you'll need a spell in the magic category you want to boost so for conjuration you'll need to have some kind of conjuration spell. 2. Next you need an alter of spell making, you can excess one in the imperial city by joining the mages guild or if you have the computer version use the one in Frostcraig Spire (provided you buy the $2000 candles) 3. Now select the type of magic you want, for mysticism I chose night eye. 4. Now when you make the spell make sure it targets you (don't want to get in trouble with the guards do ya?) and set everything to the lowest value. 5. Once you've got it created equip it and draw you're weapon, hold block and then mash the cast button and pretty soon you'll be a master.

Heres why this works, the game counts how many times you use the type of magic not how much impact ot does or how much magicka it uses so when you have a low magicka impacting spell naturally you will be able to cast it more and when you hold block you can cast much faster, this makes it a much more efficient way to achieve the amount of times you need to cast in order to level it up.
A word of caution if you level up you're magic skills like this chances are the next few levels you're character gains (depending on how many time the magic skills level up) will only have a +5 to intelligence and nothing else so be carefull if you want certain things like speed or strength.

an easier way to lvl up Restoration is to make a spell that hurts you for some damge and then heals you for the same amount XD

geting your combat skills up is EZ too

1. get a horse from where you meet Jaffrie in the first main QUEST for free

2. press start and go settings\game play, then raise difficulty to the MAX

3. start attacking your horse with a weak weapon eg. rusty iron dagger=blade skill

@JustinTheJMan np glad i could help, you can do this with almost every skill (for restoration do fortify str or willpower or armorer on target 100 ft, alternation shield 3% on target 100 ft, ...)

@FourEightZero Oh, yea. I did know that (I may have left it out of the video/description) and I think thats how I usually did it. I don't remember anymore but maybe it was more effective if your health was damaged.
