  • the video is wrong, spare ribs are the ribs ho are attached to backbone and then just a good 10cm wide

  • @dendolly The spare ribs (spareribs) are from the lower bottom of the rib cage. The part sticking further down than the rest. Hence 'spare rib'. Nontheless, some folks refer to it as a 'food entree' such as 'Chinese Spareibs'. Any ribs are often used for such naming (although some cuts are better used than others). 'Back ribs' are the top part of the animal while 'Side ribs' are the 'side' part (further down the rib cage) .All the rib cuts are from the loin. Watch the vid. again. cheers, KtC
