  • The human genome has bee sequenced now. Evolution is a fact. Deal with it.

  • what do they mean 'it has no intent' - it has as much 'intent' as anything else surely

  • Jonathan Miller - The man!

  • @jeremyraybrown

Based on your RESEARCH?!RESEARCH!? You clown!

  • @andrewtheman19 "24 years later and this is still relevant"

So this is from around '86? Thanks, I was wondering.

This is not just still relevant, it provides a glimpse back into the original "camel's nose under the tent". Miller mentions that some are trying to create the impression that the biological community is divided on the question of evolution. Today we have the Discovery Institute & Ben Stein's "Ejected".

Also still with us: the popular rallying cry, "Evolution is only a theory".

  • @jeremyraybrown Then if you do believe that evolution is the likely explanation for how homo sapiens came to appear on this planet, would you propose a counter-theory as to what we evolved from, if not apes (or apelike creatures)?? Or of at least some of the thousands of stages that brought us here?

  • @jeremyraybrown It is idiotic because that evidence is out there. Tons and tons of it. so be honest you did no research. Hell wikipedia has a decent brief section on the evolution of apes and where and when humans separated from other primates we see today. So sorry but rejecting something (or pseudo rejecting) because YOU personally don't have the evidence without even looking for it is idiotic, and just as dangerous as religious belief. Get informed.

  • @gobsbsdvfas I am not an idiot. I state it like it is. I believe that evolution is far more probably then what the very religious believe. However, based on my research I have not found enough evidence to confidently say we evolved from apes. Plus I haven't found evidence of how apes evolved. Therefore, I simply state that I don't know. How is that idiotic?

  • @jeremyraybrown No. You, sir, are an idiot. Not only is evolution testable, and has been tested, but it has millions or facts hundreds of thousands of published papers and journals. Again, you are an idiot.

  • 24 years later and this is still relevant. Oh America...
