GUSD Board Meeting December 13, 2011 - French Immersion

This is an edited version of the Glendale School Disctrict Board Meeting of December 13, 2011 featuring only items relevant to agenda item, "French Dual Immersion Program" in which the board decides to kill the German Dual Immersion Program. Video begins with community comments from the two women who started the French Dual Immersion Program. Then at 10:30 Dr. Garcia begins his presentation. At 14:35 he presents the reasons for ending the German program. This information, presented here as facts, was what infuriated the parents of the German program and started a unprecedented backlash in the days to follow culminating with a special meeting seven days later.
