With so many cloud security breaches in headline news, it may seem like "the cloud" is especially vulnerable. Not so, according to Shahin Pirooz, CenterBeam's chief technology officer.

In this short video clip, Pirooz explains the security breaches are all instances that have happened in the public cloud space. He explains that part of the reason for the breaches is a result of open application programming interfaces (APIs) that are available for customers to integrate services into their environment.

Unfortunately, these open APIs can be exploited by hackers.
