I've always enjoyed riding through the Lune Gorge. It's the best part of the West Coast main line. It's even better behind steam.

I lived in Cumbria my whole life and thought it was boring, then five years ago went to live in America. Stayed there for 2 years, then came back here.
Driving up the M6 and watching the fells come into view, I started crying.
I'll never leave the world's most beautiful county again.
