A few months ago, afetr some big rains, the river was upto so high, the falls were almost non-existant. Started falling over next few days but not before a raft went through the gorge and so did a kayaker. Most steer clear when river is so low. I was gold panning at the time so it is my favorite spot on earth. My wife'd home town Murchison
