"The best is yet to come": Barry Black and the white temptations sind heute bei uns zu Gast und führen uns beschwingt in die neue Woche. "Barry Black & The White Temptations spielen Soul, Rare Groove und Funk. Stil und Instrumentierung orientieren sich am Sound der 70er: Falsett Gesang, Backing Vocals, Wah Wah Gitarre, Bläsersatz und eine fette Rhythm Section mit Bass, Drums und Congas. Dazu kommt ein sparsamer Einsatz moderner Electronics. Ursprünglich war die Band mal als Party Gag gedacht, zum Tanzen und Abfeiern für Freunde und Bekannte. Die Lebensfreude -- mal überschwänglich, mal bittersweet -- ist geblieben, die Tanzbarkeit sowieso. Nur der Rest hat sich etwas anders entwickelt. Aus der Party Combo für den kleinen Kreis wurde eine professionell arbeitende Band. Mittlerweile stehen mehr als 100 Live Performances zu Buche, die meisten davon in der Heimat Berlin."
