$10 Million Judgment for brain damaged 12 year-old. Evidence used at trial to refute the claim that driver never saw this child run into the street. Driver's view at 33 mph.
In November 2007, a BMW being driven at 33 mph in a school zone in San Jose hit 12 year-old Rasheed Hilson at 4:20 p.m. on a bright, sunny day as he left a basketball game at the Morrill Middle School. Rasheed has suffered permanent brain damage. He is bedridden for life.
The driver of the BMW, Kim Tran, claims she "never saw" Rasheed, although she did see other children outside the school. Ms. Tran never braked and never slowed before or after she ran over Rasheed. This video reconstruction shows what Ms. Tran could have seen through her windshield if she was paying attention to her driving. Learn more on alexanderinjury.com
