  • @zealotkill Correction, Roman.

  • @zealotkill actually, venus is roman. aphrodite is greek god of love.

  • @RobertoBastone

for the LOVE of god GET this onece and for all....all of you

ALL of the gods that you claim (planets named after them) are the GREEK OLYMPIC PANTEON

    LOOK UP OLIMPIC GODS FFS

their name in latin and in english doesnt mean that they are roman gods

they are the Roman EQUIVELANT of GREEK gods ... Educate yourselves

    wiki olimpic gods FFS

second collum ( ROMAN EQUIVELANT NAME )

    1rst collum (Greek ORIGINAL name)

  • @bodiejunior Boy, you're not kidding. This explains the sputtering and spluttering that my high school science teacher did (this was 1982 -- today I assume he'd simply laugh himself sick) after I guessed that the symbol represented the penis and the beer belly.

  • Aha the male symbol is a shield and a sword.... I always thought that arrow was something else.

  • @zealotkill Incorrect! Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune are ROMAN gods. The only Greek god in the solar system is Uranus.

The Greek versions of these gods are: Hermes, Aphrodite, Ares, Zeus, Cronus and Poseidon.

The Roman version of Uranus is Caelus.

  • It's great to see this kind of videos(Sixty Symbols, Periodic Table...) without having to pay a lot for cable TV. Watching these videos made my weekend, thak you for that, Brady (and all the scientists too)!
