Whitney's Silent Hill Collection - Redux

I made my first collection video two years ago on my other youtube account, porkbun82, which later grew into 4 part videos total. Recently, I was inspired to redo my collection video with everything I have found so far (missing a Heather wallscroll that's in my work cube and my Silent Hill Movie promo paper..it was tucked inside my pressbook) and cut down on my number of videos and decided to upload it on my main SH and DP website youtube account. Please note this collection did not happen over night! I've been collecting items from Silent Hill since 1999...well if I'm honest I didn't seriously start collecting until 2004 when I realized that there were more than just soundtracks, games, and guides.

I'm often asked whether I display my collection or keep it boxed up. Well I do a bit of both. I display my favorite items which are usually figures and statues as well as sealed Japanese versions of my favorite games. Currently a corner of my living room displays my love for the series within a display class, a small windowed endtable, a small shelf and several framed posters around my apartment.

@METALLERhates2332 Been collecting for years and got everything over a long time period. I was able to purchase a good chunk by keeping an eye out for Silent Hill item related auctions on ebay and yahoo japan. On my site I've listed where I've found each item! :)

I take it you like Silent Hill then!?! :P Anyway, thank you very much for sharing your collection with us, it's lovely to someone else who has a passion for horror games, which seems to be a very small minority. I'm always trying to spread the SH love, though few people I know like it, heck even finding someone to talk with about it is tough.

So on behalf of all horror/SH fans, please keep up the great work, and looking forward to your next LP!

I've been thinking about doing an LP for a while now, and as someone who has done many successful ones, what tips/advice would you give? Any help would be great, thanks.

@VysetheLegendary @VysetheLegendary lol I don't know if I'm that successful, but thank you! I always enjoy lps that have insightful commentary, something I may not catch my first time playing, so it's always good to be able to talk about the game like that if you aren't doing a blind run. :)

I used to go to a local mega store and search for gamers magazines with SH previews or articles or learn about games like SH...I found one opened the plastic magazine cover to read about SHH I was really excited..the screenshots looked awesome and promising...the info was great too it was the first time SHH was being previewed..well I did not find SHH all that bad...it was a good play..the eurogamer magazine with the nurse reminded me of good old days..
