This is possibly my favourite Fahey composition. The yellow princess was a tea clipper, and the main theme of this piece is taken from a composition by Saint Saens, in-case you're wondering (which you probably aren't). Apologies for the poor sound quality, but this is the only guitar i've got at the moment...

  • wow!!! this is quite a work of art. I'm really impressed. Did you mean that Fahey wrote this based on the Saint Saens peice, or is this your own version? (Ive never listened to this song- it's not on either of the 2 cds I own, but I love it).

  • I wish it was my own version! I extended the part where it modulates between E and G slightly, but I've tried to stay pretty faithful to Fahey's recording. The album 'the yellow proncess' is well worth buying, by the way- I think it's one of his best.
