Sry for taking so long to update. I've been busy with school and work. Summer school is now over, but unfortunitally, work doesn't end. ;(

Separation Day 1 Friday Night (Nick)

Nick finally let himself worry when he dialed Joe's number and only got a voice mail. Joe never turned off his phone. It had been three hours since the last time Joe had sent Nick a message. Nick sent about a half a dozen after, trying to get a hold of him, before he decided to call him. Nick assumed, at first, that Joe's silences was in due to Joe being with their brothers and dad watching a movie. Nick also knew that Joe would have tried everything in the book to still text during that time.

They were merely talking about Nick's new and exciting experiences. Nick had been meeting a lot of people his age with type 1 diabetes. They had all hung out and were telling stories. This greatly took his mind off his own issues. Even with the two and half hour ride with his mom, he still hadn't let go of the whole situation. It had been about five hours before he received that first message from Joe. Nick was so glad that Joe still loved him.

He came to the conclusion, however, that he was not mad at Joe at all. He was mad at himself for the way he acted. He really wanted to text Joe and tell him that he wasn't angry, but he still didn't want to explain his behavour to Joe. Nick still hadn't worked out why he got that way.

Nick was sitting on his bed in the hotel room beside his phone. He had left ten messages on Joe's phone.

*Knock*

Nick got up to open the door. It was some of Nick's new friends: Kyle, Stacy, Lisa and Gary. "Hey guys."

"Hey, man. You alright, you look depressed?" Kyle asked.

Nick immediately sobered up. He didn't want to get his new friends involved in his own personal problems. "Yeah. I'm good. What's up?"

"We're about to go swimming, you wanna join us?" Gary asked.

"Sounds great. Lemme go grab my trunks and I'll meet you down stairs."

"Ok. Hurry."

Nick closed the door behind him. He ran to his phone and dialed Joe's number again. "Hey, it's Nick, again. If I don't pick up, I'm out swimming. I'll try your phone again when I get home. Love you, bye."

Nick had a tear fall. He didn't care if he went swimming or not. He just wanted to talk with his boyfriend. Nick changed into his swimming shorts and ran downstairs.

It was midnight when they decided to go swimming. The other kids Nick was with were older. They were around Joe's age. Gary was nineteen, Kevin's age.

It seemed awkward, to Nick, to be hanging out with these older guys. There was also the two girls in their mini bikini tops and string bottoms. Nick had never been good at talking to girls. He was not really ever interested in them either. He was definitely not into guys. He fell in love with Joe. He still couldn't understand how that had happened. Joe had been straight.

Joe would have enjoyed hanging out with the people Nick was with. Nick tended to be more shy and quiet, while Joe was outgoing and always up for anything. Nick liked having that kind of balance in his life.

"Nick, jump in. The water's warm." Stacy called to Nick. Nick had just been staring at the water, thinking about Joe.

Nick was determined to have fun on this trip, regardless that Joe wasn't around.

"Here I come." Nick cannonballed into the water. "Stacy, you lied to me! I'm freezing!"

"Oh, sorry. Don't worry about it, I'll warm you up." Stacy swam next to Nick and wrapped her arms around him as she spoke.

Nick's eyes widened. He was used to girls flirting with him, (he was in a band after all) but they never actually started to touch him before. He had never been this close to a girl before. It was exciting and awkward at the same time. She definitely didn't give him the same reaction he got when he was touched by Joe. Although, he did enjoy the idea that he was being held by a girl.

Stacy made a more advanced move and turned Nick's head to face hers. She gently stroked his lips before matching them with her own. Nicks natural instinct was to embrace the kiss. It felt different. Her lips seemed too soft, too moist and not anything like Joe's passionate kisses. She was just hungry, lustful. Nick didn't know anything about this girl who was on his mouth. Nick got grossed at the realization that he was cheating on Joe.

He spat her tongue out when she tried to push it through his mouth. "Stop. I don't even know you. You don't know me."

"What would you like to know about me?" She asked innocently.

"Do you have a boyfriend?"

Stacy gave a puzzled expression. Then she gave a simple no.

"Well I do." Nick quickly replied. He answered that question too quick. He didn't even catch what he said to her. Gary, sitting on the diving board, Kyle and Lisa, stopped kissing, and, looked at Nick.

"You have a boyfriend?" Stacy asked, glaring at Nick.
