Song had good beat, but felt to "cheerful and gleeful". I agree with Brengaria... it would of been better to be like the Edmund Fitzgerald... beat and soul...

I'm sorry, but I think the song sux-too modern for the event, poor rhymes, needs to be more like "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" in feel...my opinion only.

My moms dad was in that explosion and my mom said he said that the windows in his house wer all broken and all his plates wer smashed on the ground and you get the point... She also said that he was around 6 square KM away from the explosion.

my teacher told me today that, when it exploded, some people got blown out of their shoes, then would be thrown away and they would have a scratch on them

I've never seen or heard anything like this about the Halifax Explosion and it's about time. With lyrics and music like this, Danny MacIntyre is certainly a fellow to watch out for.

Excellent presentation of the event that marked the biggest man-made explosion prior to the invention of the atomic bomb!
