www.dghvoip.com presents a new Video Tutorial:

This time we're going to get our feet wet with the configuration of TomatoUSB and OpejnVPN server in bridged mode, as we've done on previous parts of this video series, we'll go over all of the steps to get the Asus RT-N16 hardware running TomatoUSB firmware setup to run a full-fledged VPN server with security and custom per-client configuration.

Enjoy

  • First three minutes spent talking about nothing, and then you don't even explain your settings, and completely skip over key generation and how to push that custom config to the router's filesystem. I'm more confused than before I watched this, thanks.

  • No worries on bricking the Asus RT-N16. Its almost impossible to brick that damn thing. I've done it many times with OpenWrt, DD-WRT, TomatoUSB etc etc. Very good device to have as a gateway or to handle your VPNs.

  • @davidgonzalezherrera so how do you put a password on it without the keys?

  • zomg you showed your private keys XD

  • @arashjahn 2:13 you will see an option for ftp server. but i dont like ftp. for 1 you cant stream video over ftp

  • @LapulgaPTY if you brick a router its not a total lose. go to dd-wrt and look in there wiki

  • @roadrunner2131 thanks, i got it working, with this, downloaded the official firmware, manual IP on my PC(192.168.1.10), used the the restoration software, before that, i shut the router off by unplugging the power cable, plug it back in while pressing the reset button, wait til you see the power LED blinking, then open the Restoration software, have it search for the official firmware, then let it do everything, normally takes around 2 min.

  • @LapulgaPTY I think there is a Asus Firmware Restoration Utility on the cd or downloadable from Asus. Not sure if it works on a bricked router, but worth a try.

  • i just bricked my router with this F...ing firmware, anyone can give me a sulotion i have an ASUS RT-N16
