Rwandan government plotting assassinations in the UK:
"How do you view the popular uprising in North Africa and do you think the same could happen in Rwanda?" That is the question UK resident Rwandan Rene Mugenzi asked on 22 March to Rwandan President Paul Kagame on BBC. Introducing General Paul Kagame during that Have-Your-Say broadcast, BBC journalist Alex Jakana had said in Kagame's presence:

In recent years, there has been a sharp increase in the number of voices criticising him and his government. Most of the accusations are along the lines that he is a despot who doesn't tolerate any form of opposition; that under his leadership, Rwanda has become a dangerous place for those who publicly disagree with him or his ruling party.

Rene Mugenzi: warned for imminent threat to his life
Now, it appears that Mugenzi's audacity has earned him an immediate death sentence!

Less than 2 months after that exchange on BBC, the Metropolitan Police informed Rene Mugenzi in writing that they had reliable intelligence showing that Rwandan Government poses an imminent threat to his life. The warning stated that the life threat could be carried out in any form, conventional or unconventional.

Listen to the exchange between despotic President Kagame and Rene Mugenzi, which valued him a death sentence.

"Reliable intelligence states that Rwandan Government poses an imminent threat to your life. The threat could come in any form. You should be aware of other high profile cases where action such as this has been concluded in the past. Conventional and non-conventional means have been used." Metropolitan Police.

A similar warning has been issued to another Rwandan UK resident Jonathan Musonera.
Perhaps a reminder to those who still believe that Kagame cares about his people or even about his own reputation. They should remember his most common answer: "I don't care".

  • Very good analysis no doubt! it is always frustrating seeing foreigners discussing our issues and lack professionalism. I would be curious to know what you think about the real issue... without looking at the characteristics of the journalist. What is your comment about persecution of refugees?

  • Kagame has built a mono ethnic military, and political elite which is the dynamic which has caused the resentment in the country since the colonial era. Kagame has been active in the destabilisation of the Congo and looting its resources.Rwanda is a major exporter of gold, diamonds and coltan, minerals that don't exist in Rwanda. It is all stolen from the Congo whose civilians are being terrorized by Kagame's agents as well as those of Uganda. Building Rwanda is a noble task but not thru crime.

  • Paul Kagame is responsible for shooting down the airplane and killing the then president of Rwanda, which was the spark that ignited the genocidal reprisals of 1994. The tutsi rebel forces that he led managed to take control the country, precipitating an exodus of hutus fleeing into neighboring Congo.Among these hutu refugees were hidden some of the genocidal criminals. Kagame's forces pursued them and exacted revenge, killing criminals and innocent civilians alike

  • I pray the day that President Kagame and his team, will lead us real Rwandans, to stop receiving Aid from Westerners. We must stop this shit. We Rwandans are much valuable pride, to receive Aid. We need to silence these people

  • @RY4C If Hutu genocidaires want to protect people, they should not conduct cross-border attacks into Rwanda and then go back to hide among the refugees. just like Palestians attacking Israrelis then run to hide among civilians. As of now, there's no attack, and there's no counterattack.

  • buuuuullshit. nobody know who is Rene mugenzi, no one cares about his empty life. one do the gov need to kill this funny man. he is just struggling to live, as he got the british citezenship!!

  • These 83M £ are what enables Kigali/Kagame to roll tanks into the Congo, conduct air strikes on refugee camps and shell every native village in the Kivus with mortars and RPG's;

this 'budget support' (i.e. money directly into the pockets of dictators) never served the poor guy.

  • @rwandansinuk do you really think that BBC can make a programme without doing all necessary verifications? why Rwandan gov is not then suing BBC or the Police ?

  • @RY4C Killing refugees has been Kagame regime norm since october 1995, when they attacked refugee camps in Zaire and destroyed them. After that refugees have been killed in Zambia, Belgium, Malawi, Cameroon and Kenya,..

  • @rwandansinuk : refugees who are quiet does not mean that they are genuine. Some are genuine and very vocal about their country human right and oppression issues. Not every one have the courage to do that, but in all oppressed societies they are always people who risk their lives and speak up for others

  • @rwandansinuk ; Dear Rwandan in UK or Ignatius: I am not sure you did listen to the report - these people did not report any report of mistreatment but the Police came to them and informed them that they might be killed by Rwanda assassins. I also wandering why you are denying the Police claims as if normally Kagame regime inform you before committing crimes around the world !!!
