Was he safe or out? A critical play in the 2003 NBC World Series against the Chinese Taipei Olympic Team. James Guerrero (San Diego State University) makes the play from second base. Quite a play, too, as the ball almost chinked its way through.

Gero von Dehn is the broadcaster, Todd Dennis handled production and cameras.

  • Rule 7.01 states that "A runner acquires the right to an unoccupied base when he touches it before he is out." Thus, the runner is out unless he beats the throw and/or tag to the base. Thats the actual rule, tie goes to the runner is just a popular saying among little league,

  • hes out

  • @kutlessrocks Absolutely. Though he was safe.
