Who was Jolie: According to Al Kooper's autobiography, "Backstage Passes & Backstabbing Bastards," in the very early 70's he had a short fling with Quincy Jones' daughter, Jolie. He wrote this song and played it for Mr. Jones when Jolie introduced them.
(It's an excellent rock 'n' roll bio, BTW.)
