Love Motel for Insects Ballengée, Urban Art Projects

UAP is currently launching a series of programs featuring artists who work in the overlapping areas of science technology and the environment. For our current project we are collaborating with scientist/ artist Brandon Ballengee to produce his piece The Love Motel for Insects. Successfully exhibited internationally by Ballengee since 2001, UAP will bring this incredible project to the five boroughs of NYC. The Love Motel for Insects is an innovative interactive outdoor artwork that is both an art piece and a life science project. Combined with ancillary educational programming referred to as Bug Love, this programming informs the general NYC public about important environmental issues, inspires NYC youth so that their interest in science continues into the classroom and provides inspirational experiences, termed Eco-actions, involving both art and science.
