Final plastering work of the restoration of Mississippi's Old State Capital in Jackson, MS.
Marius was the lead plasterer on this job and made all of the plastered ornamental rosettes and decorations free-handed; i.e. with no molds or casts. He created molds and casts to speed up the restoration process. The new ormanetals were re-created based on what few original ornaments were still in tact in the badly damaged building. Thank you Hurricane Katrina for your destruction.... (yes that was sarcasm).
