  • Just a Common pleco.

  • Malawis are always kept in large groups to spread the aggression and make it hard for individuals to keep territories.

  • Have you tested your water.

Could be high Nitrates or external Parasites.

  • frontosa is not from Malawi

  • @latvija855

That is why the video is called " Malawi with a few foreigners". Few Foreigners being the give away.

  • That is Coral Sand..

  • @Headhighswell because when you're keeping cichlids having more in the tank is always better. It lowers aggression in most cases and keeps the tank functioning happily without too many fish dying off.

  • what kind of pleco is that?

  • didnt read through the other comments but is that a massive pleco you have in there? im lovin whatever that thing is

  • @Headhighswell, the rule of thumb is 1 inch of "TROPICAL" fish for every 2.25 litres. Plus if your filter is bigger and is a 4 stage for instance instead of a three stage, and if you add alot more aeration, you can then stock your tank a little more. But i personally would always like to go by the rule of thumb, and play it completely safe. On top of this, the aquarium looks like it's about 150 litres or may be even more. But you have to keep in mind about how big the fish gets as well.

  • @Headhighswell to lower aggresion and to distribute it.

  • Why does everyone OVERSTOCK THEIR TANK?????!!!

  • you need a big tank for them i have a 6x2x2

  • @iJacksFishTanks If you use coral sand then that is the cause, very small bits of sand irritate there gills and make them flick, you can mix it with a coarser gravel to stop it. If you dont have coral sand then it could be ich or gill flukes. Can settle in time if you leave your coral gravel in.
