@harchiongkai Mate, I don't think there is a way you can do this simply because it is out of your control. For example a great tool to track backlinks is Yahoo Site Explorer and its data comes from indexing the large part of websites out there..it's all publically available. Rather use the info on your competition to figure out how you can get more and better links.

@ ultracouturedesign Hi there. The easiest way to get someone to link to you is all about giving them a reason to do so by using some great content that people will find valuable to link to.

An easier way to start link building is to use some social bookmarking, that is making links to your website in the online social bookmarking sites like delicious. Just google "social bookmarking" and youll find a ton of great info.

Hey there..sorry for the late reply..Christmas and all. If you are talking about the process of getting other websites to link with you then there are really two strategies..you can go and do link requests where you ask website owners to exchange links but that is a tough slog...maybe a better approach is to create a piece of content that is link worthy, that will naturally be bookmarked or linked to by other people. I hope that helps..if not pls report the question.

Interesting stuff. This clears the confusion regarding why anchor text is important. But also i feel high pagerank links with no anchor text is also good.
