Hopi Youth Return To Mesa Verde

With support from an America's Best Idea grant from the National Park Foundation, Mesa Verde National Park partnered with the Footprints of the Ancestors initiative of the Anthropology Department, Northern Arizona University to produce "Hopi Youth Return to Mesa Verde". Footprints of the Ancestors is a Hopi youth cultural education project that partners Hopi youth with elders, cultural specialists, archaeologists, educators and multimedia developers to preserve, sustain and maintain Hopi culture. Hopi footprints are Hopi ancestral sites that represent tangible links that connect people to place, to the environment, to the past, to the present and to the future.
