because China is very conservative and to them being gay is a shame.

i don't think so. i see nothing wrong with it but it's very rare that someone who lives in Asia will out themselves as gays.

unfortunatly it is looked as a shame to your family, i completly disagree but if they out themselves their lives will be very difficult
