Brings back memories of my world travel days looking and searching for a phone,a phone that even called Australia, paying large amounts for a one minute call then being cut off, to call back to this great land.No travelling with a mobile back then..Contact when you wanted contact.

This video is made in the Netherlands for the music program "Toppop" broadcasted by the Avro in those days.
They made very good quality clips :)

john farnham replaced glen shorrock ,both lrb and farnham had the same manager, glen wheatley, farnham has a good voice, listen to help or burn for you, both glen and john were born in the u.k. and are still around in oz, both seem like good blokes

good song, probably there best.

soothing voice to a great song that no one remembers

Wonderful. They must be one of the best bands to come out of NZ/Oz. This song is so complex, melodious and soulful. Genius. My friend knows someone who knows someone who's in the band. Apparently they are a real nice bunch of guys too.

@Ganpignanus some influential people in the Australian music scene wouldn't think them as being one of the best... they're a fine band, no doubt.

@nzoz1977 they're good enough in my book. yes i like them alot better than some of the others i've heard and they cracked the u.s. market which alot of other auzzie bands couldn't. an american friend of mine thought they were yankees so that's high praise right there. :)

@Ganpignanus I don't want to come across as precious (God knows I used to), but cracking the American market is not an indicator of quality. If success was the result of quality, Mills & Boon would be unknown... but let's not get into that discussion. It's fair to say they are one of the most commercial and wildly appearing... best is not the word I would use and that's from somebody who likes LRB's music.

I know Australian music like the back of my hand and I know why many deserving bands failed to crack the American or world market - in spite of the quality of the music. Distance and money plays a major part and I will fight for the honor of many NZ/OZ bands who were more deserving... they were a fine band, but lets not go over the top and say they were one of the best; especially when it comes to individual taste.

@nzoz1977 then why'd you put them on here :) i thought you liked these guys and now you are saying you don't like them that much? this is too funny.

@Ganpignanus Re-read what I had typed previously, before coming out with the laughs.

To answer your question: I am working on 40 channels based on every year of Aussie/Kiwi music. It would be illogical to exclude LRB. I really do not have time to connect the dots for adult men.
