We are very fortunate to have worked with Luna Negra Dance Theater since 2001. This is a demo from their 2005 season "4 Coreografos Latinos. "
Luna Negra Dance Theater creates, performs and teaches contemporary dance by Latino choreographers. It is the only professional dance company in the U.S. solely devoted to provide contemporary Latino dance artists with a vehicle to tell their own stories and carry the culture of their communities.
Luna Negra's distinctive style artfully blends ballet and contemporary dance movements strongly flavored by Latin and Afro-Caribbean dance forms. The Company's repertory includes original works by Cuban-born founder and artistic director Eduardo Vilaro as well as by acclaimed Latino choreographers Ron DeJesus, Vicente Nebrada, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, Pedro Ruiz and others.
