Like the the atmosphere, the gore and everything, there ARE times when stuff jumps out at you, but that never really scared me, the creepy sound effects and lights going out is what creeped the hell out of me.

Lol, when i played thru Doom 3 i got spooked only twice of 3 times as i remember, throughout the whole game.

Doom 3 isn't scarier because of its nature - in Doom 3 the scares are in style of american horror films, its the old "monsters jump out of closets" and the scare is only for a reaction.

In FEAR, you get scared every level, and the scares go thru your skin, and stay in you for a lot longer time.
