Description: Burges High School is a High School located in East El Paso, TX. It serves grades 9-12 and has a student population of around 2000 students. This school is pretty big to get around. It opened in 1955. As u can tell, this school has not done any renovations except adding the elevator in the 1970s. The bells mounted on the wall still work. They rang at 4:00 when I was walking in the halls. They are not as bad if you are far from them. They have all different brands of bells mounted, as u can see in my video. They also use buzzers in some parts of the school. There is the 9th Grade CTR, that has a 4 beep tone bell. Sadly, I was not able to get to the 9th Grade CTR because they close it at a certain time. They will not let u in after a closing time except teachers only. So I will go back to film the elevator in the 9th Grade CTR. They have only 1 main elevator in the main building which is that Dover elevator. So this school is ADA compliant. This school is so original from 1955. As u can tell, nothing has been done to change it at all. They also have Eat Smart Cafe in the School. So if u go here, eat off campus, because Eat Smart Cafe is a nasty place to eat at. I would say, this school is alright, not as bad as Irvin High, but it is a little bit ghetto. I would recommend going to this school.
Every day at my school, we have 50 minutes for lunch ,so they allow all of us to go off campus.
