I did something similar, but they were filled with water and designed for keeping drinks and food cool in "refrigeration bags".
You don't happen to have a link to these GellyFreeze thingies?

ah yes! i tried that technique too couple a months backk, but used a vacuum(put it on low) and a can a of spray duster! found the biggest dust bunny ever XD it could even come out the fan, had to pull it bit by bit

lol ^^ u shouldnt do it with a stick u can buy compressed air and just use it for a sec and ur done <.< didnt u guys know??

The thing with compressed air is that if you blow it IN to the vents then all the muck gets put back in your machine! With the pick you take all the muck from the grill outside, which is much better.
Although of course ideally you'd take the machine apart, but this was just a quick and easy (but still effective) tip for people who wouldn't feel comfortable doing that.

Not what I expected to find here. But yes, true. Getting a "cooling plate" is also advisable in the tropics.

In Japan we also have A4 packs of gel that you put in the freezer, you then get them out and sit them under the computer - it keeps it cool for a good couple of hours!
