It is an exact script copy remake, with only names and culture changes. Watched this ep a couple days ago, the original. Same conversation and jabs at eachother, even about the cars. Word for word.
One thing that was different is the use of "pension" instead of social security, for obvious reasons.

It's weird. Everything in the house is on the opposite side. Sort of like European cars, where the driver side is situated on the right.

Is Steve the only character in this that has the same name as in the US series? The Brit version of Marcy looks quite alike. You wouldn't believe she was Veruca Salt in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory tho!!
