ESP have teamed up with the National Governing Body; Parkour UK and their delivery agent; Parkour Generations (PKG), to implement a safe outdoor context to practice the fundamental movement skills of Free Running.

FREE:D is a brand new and exclusive concept aimed at 14 to 19 year olds. This has been designed as an extension to ESP's already sucessful Multi-skills movement concept. FREE:D allows children to exercise three dimensional Multi-skills activities, tailored around Parkour. This is supported by National Governing Body accredited training.

Our first official launch took place at St. Leonards Primary School in Padiham who are a current case study for the Trust Schools Strategy. It was an outstanding success with support from Burnley Football players Clarke Carlisle and Chris Eagles who were there to back the concept. In an official interview with Sky Sports News, Clarke Carlisle said that his own children and children in the area were talking about it and wanted to participate and backed Free Running being delivered in a correct and coordinated way through school curriculum. He also said that FREE:D, can only be a good thing for the community.

The community-based project has already had a huge impact in the Burnley area. The resource is currently being used by the local police force to train young people to deliver the ADAPT Training Award. This project has enabled St. Leonards to start 'Shaping a Community of Practice Through PE and Sport', in partnership with ESP.
