my glasses have glass (silicon dioxide) lenses, they're much higher quality and don't scratch as much as polycarbonate

@jenafizzle13 yeah it's pretty close. The video is not 100% clear about the exact process and when certain things happen. The first part of the video is a separate process. The lab grinds the prescription in and cut the lens to fit the frame from blanks already on hand. They put the order through the surfacing lab and the prescription blanks are ready for coatings. Coatings take the longest time (12 hours). After coating, the lens is ready to be edged to the frame. If all goes well they ship out

I buy mine at the pharmacy ,they cost $20 and work just fine ,i have my eyes checked every 10 years but don't bother with their expensive lenses i ask for the correction # and i'm off the the pharmacy.
