  • Hey David, these lessons are more than important, I appreciate them a lot... I use to play for over 20 years, I'm self taught but since I 've discovered you, I found music a lot easier, your easy approaches to certain aspects are really great.

I thank you man for passing on your great wisdom in music and we guitarists - no matter the level - we appreciate it a lot...

  • @Vassilis61 - thanks so much bro - really appreciate that - made my day!

I will keep them coming - thanks for tuning in and keep up all that hard work on that guitar

    rock oN!

  • Hey David, what Les Paul is that? 2008? It's got some fancy inlays on the fretboard!

  • @Rafterman123 - Hi - the guitar I use in this lesson is a 1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard Limited Edition model. SO it has a few cool features of the limited edition line - it has the cool flower pot inlays and also is a cool fireburst finish that you dont see very often on the standards or customs - great guitar -

    take care and rock oN!

  • Thanks David. Best lesson that you've put out in a while! I like the bit about Dmaj7 being relative to Bmin. I learned a new voicing for Dmaj7..yay!! That theory stuff really pulls it all together. Thanks again.

  • @bondmaster420 - thanks Jake - really appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to write in - means a lot to me bro - stay tuned as I plan to continue more lessons in this series with some more advanced stuff too -

take care and keep on rockinG!

  • dave and Marty kick arse

  • We need to go deeper! Guitarception.

  • Isn't Arpeggio string by string playing? YES....

  • That was a great lesson, its really helpful

    thanks a lot

  • where the hell is part 1 then?

  • David, i wish you could be my dad!

  • I just learn't more in 17:13 than I have in 2 months of a music course that has involved music theory at my local tafe college here in Oz.

  • Hey David - what great timing that I got my update to this subscription. I'm just now starting to finally (after years) start looking at what's going on with leads as they relate to the chords. I'm in a blues band now and the other guitar player has just stared to attempt explaining more theory to me. Your video(s) are super to give me the boost I need right now! Thanks a million! Well done.

  • hey, great lesson, thanx!! can anyone give me the link for part 1 of this? i cant find it :/

  • Hi david ,good lesson! gave me some new little riffs thank you
