    By 1999 the major labels bought all the competition and complete control over all popular music. They decided it was more profitable to have 10 mega-popular acts then to have 40 popular acts. They spend less on promotion, labor and expenses that way but still sell the same amount of music. Like everything else corporate greed killed mainstream music.

    Saw them in Tallahassee Fl. when they open for Nirvana and yes the 90's rocked. Kurt Cobain handed me my Converse sneaker after a song (it was thrown on stage after I lost it in the pit)
