Jesus wasn't even born on December 25th. December 25th had meaning to the pagans as the winter solstice. Then the Church said that Jesus was born on that day so they could get the people who were already partying on the bandwagon.

for real. I thought you were going with bdays on or before xmas...but then I saw some other fellow Januaries...including Isaac Newton who is the exact same day as me (and Michael Stipe). Also, my buddy Dave Foley is not only the same day...but the same year (he's 4 hours older than me). Merry birthday!
PS btw, it's worse AFTER xmas. The money and energy are GONE by Jan 4 (usually the day everyone goes back to work!)

Let me clarify, I roll OS or Old Style!
Sir Isaac Newton, FRS (4 January 1643 31 March 1727 [OS: 25 December 1642 20 March 1726])
Old Style (or OS) and New Style (or NS) are used in English language historical studies either to indicate that the start of the Julian year has been adjusted to start on 1 January (NS) even though contemporary documents use a different start of year (OS).
