well i dont think you have to be massacred like jews to be considered "destroyed",those countries might not be COMPLETELY WIPED OUT,but they were assimulated into the roman culture for centuries,so they lost all their culture and tradition and beliefs and all that.and after the fall of the empire,they were never the same again.like i dont think in the dark ages,in 6th century,the greeks still worshipped zeus did they?no,their culture is destroyed for good
