Las Vegas circa 1949-1950, before it had lost its lustre. Indeed, here on the edge of the Mojave Desert young comedians and gangsters could reinvent themselves without worrying about anyone looking in. Martin and Lewis in their deservedly overlooked duet, 'The Fiddle and the Geetar Band.' Catch the Convair 240 flying into the airport at the beginning! You'll love it.

  • @shirtandtiewilldo Excellent question! I believe El Rancho Vegas appears in the film, and Joe E. was one of pioneers of Las Vegas entertainment in this era. Someone interested in Joe E. Lewis would most likely be interested in Vegas. Sorry if it misled you, however! I would love to see lots of his work from this era.

  • Why is this tagged as "Joe E. Lewis?" He doesn't appear anywhere in this, nor is there any mention of him.
