For locals, it..s a chance to look deeper at a group of people who share their culture each and every night. By following the story of four performers, ages 21-32, viewers will see a snapshot of life 'beyond the grass skirt'.....

When I was little I remember going to Hawaii and seeing the old lahaina lua. We were in Maui to spread my Grandmother's ashes in the land where she was born. It was an amazing experience the whole thing. The moment that I saw hula danced for the first time, I knew that was something I wanted to do :)
